Job Title : Assistant Finance Manager / Director Reporting To : Finance Director / CFO Direct Reports : Financial Controller - Finance & Accounting Dept. Team Job Description: The Assistant Finance Manager job description to include but not limited to the following Job Description & Duties: Ensure the implementation of company policy and procedures. Ensure the implementation of accounting standards within all financial reporting. Safeguard company assets and ensure that insurance policies are applied. Understand and driving financial performance. Ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and month-end closing activities. Review periodical Financial Statements and its related analysis. Coordinate and review monthly financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Ensure a smooth operation of all Company finance activities in full compliance with the policy, regulatory and contractual framework. Will business partner with all company finance team members and the company Management team. Support the Regional Finance Director in developing excellent working relationships across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including IT, Procurement, Operations, HR, Shared Service Centers (where applicable), Owners, and as well as Regional Operations Finance (where applicable). Support the Regional Finance Director to develop best-in-class Finance teams, including participation in all relevant Finance development programs. Ensure the accurate preparation of any pre-audit internal / external requirements. Monitor, review & follow up the business process to ensure smooth operation and processes are there and update them if required. Monitor, review, develop and enhance the current automated transactions and processes if required. Monitor and review conversion processes from manual to automate all applicable transactions and processes if required. Report to Regional Finance Director / Regional CFO, the company Cash Flow performance after review to ensure smooth cash flow process on Daily / Monthly / Periodic basis. Review & analyze the daily, MTD, YTD Sales performance reports compared to Budget & to LY performance. Review financial related entries and reports prior circulation to Finance Director / CFO. Review the company CAPEX to buy new Fixed Assets or maintain current Fixed Assets for each store or projects, and accomplish necessary actions, if needed. Review & compare the Income Statement (P&L) OPEX (such as: Rent – Labor cost – Utilities – Licenses – Insurance – Maintenance Expenses – Depreciation – Employees Meals – Waste & Spoilages - …. etc.) for each store or projects versus LY & Budget, and accomplish necessary actions, if needed. Review and discuss the viability of the Feasibility Studies for new-opening / renovation stores or projects (CAPEX & OPEX) with Operation and other related departments leaders Prior to BOD approval. Follow up & review WIP (Work-in-Process) projects status on a monthly / quarterly basis, and take necessary financial actions, if any (such as: provisions, purchase orders, contractor/sub-contractor commitment, payment requests or clearance, …etc.). Review Branch / Company Annual Budget and its related details to ensure that all Budget factors, regulation and procedures have been taken in consideration, prior to BOD approval. Review & follow up variances or differences between Actual OPEX Expenses versus Budgeted ones and analyze their variances reasons if favorable or unfavorable to regulatory. Review the Ideal recipes for any new sales item in any chain or commissary and determine its Ideal Cost Percentage. Determine the cost of new meals and its effects on total cost of the store with cooperation with the chain management. Review and discuss, periodically, the pre & post Study for marketing activities, campaigns & promotion, whether on chain level of LSM with Operation leaders. Review & compare the meals & waste percentage for each store, and accomplish necessary actions, if needed. Follow up the finance costing team performance for the monthly short & over report in food, beverage & packing for each store with its manager, and ensure that the necessary actions were accomplished. Follow up & review the following monthly / periodical reports for each store / Project: Raw material price increases and its impact on variable cost. Ideal Variable Cost percentage on each chain / store level. Sales Mix and its effects of store Cost. Meals & Waste comparison. Review the standard recipes of each chain with the operation team and amend accordingly, if any. Follow up & review monthly / quarterly reports of Fixed Assets & Small ware inventory Count for each store or project and analyze their variances reasons, if any. Review the actual FY expenses compared to budget & LY expenses and analyze the deviation reasons, and if necessary, correct the mistakes or error, if any. Ensure that the Spot Check on stores are performed as per the yearly plan prepared for this purpose. As per company policy, review & monitor the warehouses stock level for all raw material item to ensure their availability for company stores targeting to avoid any cut-offs or a very high or very low stock level that might affect the sales performance or cash flow process. Review, analyze, and inspect the stores transactions Daily / Periodically / Monthly. Review & monitor the petty cash expenses of each store through a periodical financial statement for the petty cash of each store. Review & monitor the Company TAX compliance with Tax Authorities. Inspect the Suppliers commitment with their contract standards compared to the actual supply. Review and post the financial actions in the General Journal for any of the above, if needed to be done. Handling all the questions, tasks, and issues for the Internal and External Audit. Monitor, review and update current Job descriptions, procedures and user guide. Work on improving, developing and enhancing finance team skills. Finance advisor for all departments whom in need for any assist.
